One of the most exciting examples of this can be seen in Dubai. The world-famous metropolis is on a quest to become the metaverse & Web3 capital of the world. The government aims to launch its metaverse within the next five years, estimating economic growth of $4 billion and the creation of 40,000 jobs.

“We launched our platform only in March this year, but the idea for an all-encompassing metaverse platform was born several years before. It’s truly wonderful to see now the potential of the metaverse reaching way beyond the gaming industry. In the near future, we are certain that the metaverse will become a place where we, as consumers, do most of our everyday tasks: shopping, attending concerts, learning and even going on dates,” Audrius shares. 

Community Is Important

It is clear that one of the most appealing characteristics of the metaverse is the sense of belonging found in a community of like-minded people. It is for this reason that Web3 projects must facilitate an environment in which people can forge bonds, allowing users to interact with each other in a safe, and easy way.

“We made a very calculated decision to build our metaverse around human interactions. From chat options to the soon-to-be implemented voice messaging feature—we wanted to make sure that the metaverse is not only a platform where users can explore the possibilities of the virtual world, but also where they can exchange ideas and perspectives,” Audrius explains. 

In regards to brands communicating with their audiences, or B2C integrations, DecentWorld has set up Billboards around the most famous buildings in its Downtown Dubai 3D Environment. The feature represents yet another step towards fostering the feeling of familiarity in the metaverse. In future, the 3D team intends to add even more recognizable experiences, such as virtual shopping and online work. 

“Taking into account the fact that the metaverse has little to no limitations compared to the real world, the idea of working in the metaverse, bridging together the virtual and physical, is sounding increasingly appealing for both employers and employees worldwide, especially to those who work remotely. We are certain that, in the near future, the metaverse will become an upgrade to, if not a substitute for, Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams,” Audrius shares.
