Preparation for the highly anticipated Layer-2 upgrade for Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues in full effect. A few days ago, the most popular hardware crypto wallet manufacturer Ledger expressed its support for Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 and included Shibarium in Ledger’s roadmap for 2023.
On top of that, the SHIB Army finds even more reason to celebrate, as Atomic Wallet, another prominent player in DeFi, officially declared support for Shibarium. Atomic Wallet provides over five million users worldwide with a self-custodial wallet.

SHIB Burn Rate Ignites Following the News
Right after the self-custodial wallet provider posted the tweet, Shiba Inu’s burn rate spiked to levels unseen in 2023. At the time of publication, the SHIB burn rate catapulted by 28385.44%, sending 27,666,615 SHIB tokens to the bottomless pit in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, the developments in relation to Shibarium didn’t reflect on Shiba Inu’s market price, as it barely moved in the last 24 hours. The popular canine coin is changing hands at $0.00001160, according to CoinGecko. Fetching over 22.3% in the last two weeks, SHIB had a bullish month and even restored the fundamental resistance level of $0.00001.
In the past 24 hours, there have been a total of 21,812,209 $SHIB tokens burned and 5 transactions. Visit https://t.co/t0eRMnyZel to view the overall total of #SHIB tokens burned, circulating supply, and more. #shibarmy

Is It Shibarium Season Already?
A couple of weeks ago, rumors surfaced that Shibarium’s public launch could happen on February 14th, 2023. Many members of the Shiba Army believe this as the most plausible option because Shytoshi Kusama previously dropped a clue with a heart-shaped box, implying that he was preparing a serenade for the special day.
However, at this time, it’s unknown whether the lead developer will manage to learn to play the flute by Valentine’s Day. The Unification team is grinding hard to bring the Shibarium Beta to the public, even though last weekend was marked by a dogfight between community members.
Ultimately, the move to clean house might bring more certainty to the SHIB Army, as a whopping 92% of the members on Twitter expressed their support for Shytoshi Kusama to remain the leading developer.
On the Flipside
- The community behind Shiba Inu had been asking to list BONE on Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, and other popular crypto exchanges.
- However, the continuous requests are yet to evoke any reaction from the big guys of crypto.
